2/4/24 Branch Ave Cleanup

Today was a great day. We had 25 volunteers or thereabouts for two hours. We kept having to push this out due to foul weather the last few weekends. The day started around 31 degrees, but climbed to be a comfortable 40 or so. Our volunteers killed it today! We weighed out at a conservative 767 lbs of trash. Lots of this was new stuff - plastic, bottles, nips (ugh), but we also found a lot of "legacy" trash. This includes things like old tires, stashes of trash, old stuff that we must have missed previously or that was under leaves.

After the cleanup, we went out to Providence Burger Bar! One of our favorite spots to hit after am event in the area. BIG thank you to the owner of the big mill building where we park for these Branch Ave events, and for letting us pile trash in their area until DPW scoops it up.
